Its rare that I take an intrest in a particular style from one artist…I geuss art just isn’t really my bag. However Jim Mahfood is probably a few out of a couple I do keep in my head when I think of a good artist in my opinoun, along with a few others, But Jims always on top.
I love comics and always have since I was a kid, Its fun, creative and mainly visual. Jim mahfood if you hadn’t of geussed it by now is a comic book artist, since the early 90’s (all the best things were made/orignate from the 90’s!) Jims been putting out his own comics with stories and artwork by him. He’s also had geust appearences and has also worked for marvel in his past. As a more ‘underground’ approach to comic book illistration I can really respect what he’s done. He’s almost made his own kind of style like every great artist and instantly I can tell he’s drawn something when I see it. Jim Mahfood has always been linked with the Hip Hop scene to aswel as the mainstream comic books. He really grabbed my attention when I saw he drew the artwork for mf grimms latest album ‘you only live twice’…But only with the vinyl edition, so yeh I bought it - I bought it just for the artwork alone (although I am a fan of Grimm) BUT THEN I also found out he did a comic starring the duet Murs and Slug from the group Felt - 2 of my faviortie neo rap artists and probably my faviorte rap group, its rare and about 60 dollars but I do plan to get it soon.
Anyway seeing as were talking about artwork it makes more sence to post picture rather than Write words. so without futher adue here ya go!
